Ecology Wet Cell Gasification Unit |
|
In The Old Days: |
| Many biomass gasification units have been built and few have worked correctly for any
period of time. Those that did work were so expensive that they could never show an economic return unless they
were being paid €125 or more per ton of feedstock and had a very rich energy contract on the other side.
|
|
Our challenge: |
|
Build working, industrially reliable gasification and processing machines that pass the test of economic
viability in a very competitive North American and world wide energy market.
|
|
What we have spent and built: |
We have spent millions of dollars building what we believe is one of the best theoretical biomass gasification models
currently available anywhere in the world. As a result of this work, we have filed four major patent applications in 2005
and several additional patents are pending and expected to be filed in 2006.
|
|
The End Result: |
The result of this intense and focused effort has been the development and enhancement of several robust and reliable
technologies and the creation of several new systems for gasification. We can successfully gasify Refuse Derived Fuel (“RDF”)
with 4000 Btu per pound or higher and moisture contents of 30% to 65% in our Ecology Wet Cell Gasification Units.
|
|
Current Applications: |
These units are currently going into production in Ontario, Canada and a second larger project in New York, USA.
We currently have a Gen III unit completing fabrication in Canada, and expect that this unit will be gasifying wood sawdust
at the rate of 50 tons per day by year end. This unit is sold to a Canadian Utility.
|
|
What Our Gasifiers Produce: |
-
Our Gen II 100,000,000 Btu per hour units can typically generate approximately (depending on fuel) 5 Megawatts
of continuous power.
- Clean syngas for chemical processes.
- Using our patent pending “Gas Clean up and Tar Removal & cooling device” we can provide clean (tar free),
conditioned gas to engines on a continuous basis (economically).
- Bio oils from cellulose and neutralize the acids in the same highly economic continuous flow process.
- High quality synthetic gas in continuous flow for either heat or steam turbines.
|
|
What Our Gasifiers Consume: |
Our Gen II or Gen III gasifiers consume approximately 500 tons per day of RDF(refuse-derived fuel).
- We can take waste wood.
- We can create a biodiesel plants running on vegetable oils which will reduce capital expense by 25% and
more significantly cut the industry standard O&M from $0.35/gallon down to $0.22/gallon without any need for
a limitation on free fatty acid content (“FFA”).
|
|
Conclusion: |
We have a diverse team of process and mechanical engineers supported by contract laboratories and scale up facilities.
We have strategic partnerships and investment partnerships in related technologies which will support our primary focus
areas. We have created the foundation which will permit project development of medium to large scale gasification based
projects and medium scale bio diesel projects which will stand not only engineering due diligence but more importantly the
economic viability test.
With respect to waste to energy and biomass gasification, we expect our products will be productively shaping the nature
of a number of major projects over the next several years. We look forward to working with you.
