"The Largest Food Distribution Center in the World"

Hunts Point is the worlds largest food distribution center located in New York City. Consisting of the worlds largest wholesale produce market and meat market as well as the largest and most modern seafood market in the world outside of Japan. The Hunts Point Food Distribution Center supplies food to over thirty million people in and around the New York area.

Hunts Point is also home to a vast number of food distributors and food service companies that help keep News York's many restaurants' stocked.

Last summer we were referred to Tom Dean from Compress Shield by a business associate. Our energy bills are a substantial part of our operating expense and we are always looking for ways to reduce them. After their initial presentation our facilities manager decided to allow Compress Shield to monitor and treat a medium temp box and present us with the results. The results showed positive results both in lower discharge temp and a reduction of run time of the compressors.

Even with the test data on our own equipment and a projected ROI we were hesitant; we wanted to be able to see real savings on our power bills. Compress Shield agreed to return in 6 months and assist us with a power bill audit of actual KWH on all seven electric meters and if our savings were not realized they would refund our investment. Our facility manager requested not to treat one of our units that were on a separate meter by itself. Tom Dean completed the installation of Compress Shield in 19 of 22 compressors the third week of November 2005.

We were contacted by Tom as promised in June of 2006 and jointly completed a complete audit of our power bills. Not only did we realize an average drop of 11.4% in KWH consumption, the meter supplying the units that were not treated was consistently higher than 2005.

We were very pleased to see that our return on investment was realized in seven months, had we treated those units we believe that our ROI could have been less than six months. We also saw a significant drop in our demand charges as well. This in addition to a trouble free seven months of operation on our equipment has impressed us enough to write this letter. We have agreed to allow Compress Shield to share our detailed audit with other clients and we would recommend Compress Shield for any business that is looking to reduce their energy bills and restore the efficiency of their equipment.
